Lunchtime at the Golden Fish Bar

Lunchtime came around today at 1pm. I was so hungry I quit work half an hour earlier and headed over to the Golden Fish bar on the Farringdon Rd.
I’m usually a bit over excessive on making sure I eat the right foods but Fish & Chips will never leave my ‘top 5 favorite foods’ list….ever.

Check out the old school decor. This can’t have changed since it opened surely!

Running the snack game since 1974…

Skips were first launched in 1974 as shrimp cocktail flavour. Since this was not persuading, they changed the name to prawn cocktail.
Since early 2006 Skips have seen a 30% reduction in saturated fat and a 10% reduction in sodium and are made with 100% sunflower oil. Skips contain no artificial colours or flavourings, although they have E-numbers.
The idea behind Skips is that they fizz and melt on the tongue, which was developed by Japanese Company Meiji Seika.

Lunch From Moro – Exmouth Market…
Maaan, working 2 minutes from Exmouth market is always a good look. Copped my lunch from the MORO stall today…
“Moro restaurant opened in 1997, and lies at the heart of the lively pedestrianised street, Exmouth Market. Known for its award-winning Moorish cuisine, the restaurant is popular not only with diners, but with those who come in to enjoy tapas, which are served throughout the day”
The restaurant has a stall selling one dish a day at £5 to passing trade. Today was spicy lamb with pitta, houmous & couscous with a coriander & cucumber salad!
